As soon as George Zimmerman was declared “not guilty”  on Saturday, the liberal media has gone into overdrive to try and paint the decision as a failure of our justice system, rather than pointing out that the prosecution had a weak case from the start and didn’t do a very good job in presenting their case.

trayvon-martinThe decision was a major blow to the media which tried extremely hard to make the case about race and racism, while ignoring the facts.

NBC was one of the first to go to bat for Martin with an edited version of the 911 call, that totally changed the context of the call.  Then there is the media as a whole who chose to run pictures of Martin at age 12-where he looked wide-eyed and innocent, rather than more recent photos which showed a different young man, while showing a less than flattering picture of George Zimmerman in order to make him appear guilty.

MSNBC legal analyst Lisa Bloom weighed in on the trial, by saying that the prosecution needed to focus extensively on the racial angle in their summation-though their was no evidence that race played a part in the incident, and added on another appearance that Martin’s reference to Zimmerman as a “creepy ass-cracker” was lighthearted and humorous, and not as serious as Zimmerman’s derogatory comments about Martin.

Also, in trying to make the case for this being racially motivated, Zimmerman- whose mother is from Peru, was referred to as a  white Hispanic.  What’s next, white Black?  Oh, sorry, that’s an oreo. Gimme a break!

Now the focus of the media along with other liberals and Democrats is to try and convince the Justice Department to file civil charges against Zimmerman, while decrying the decision and harping on how the judicial system doesn’t treat blacks fairly.

Even President Obama, who said earlier this year that if he had a son he would look like Trayvon, reminded the public that the jury has spoken.

That message seems to be lost on the media.

While black leaders condemn the decision, they weren’t quite so outraged when former NFL star O.J. Simpson was acquitted of killing his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, who both happened to be white in 1995.  While many people were outraged at the verdict, there wasn’t a wide-scale by protests by whites as we are now seeing by blacks after the Zimmerman decision.
